Grant's First Football Game

WENDY'S WINS BIG...33-6!!!!!!!

Grant returning a kickoff for about 30 yards.

Afterwards, he runs it in for his second touchdown of the game.

He also enjoys getting in on a good tackle!

Grant sees the offensive player coming his way and takes care of him with a little help from a teammate!

Baseball Champs

We finished the regular season in 3rd place. The boys were so excited to get trophies!

The improvement of our team from the first of the year until the end was evident at the City Tournament this week. The boys really played the best games of the year. We won two games, then lost one on Saturday morning. We were able to beat the 2nd place regular season team in the afternoon to make it into the finals. On Sunday, we beat the 1st place regular season team twice to win the tournament. It was truly a great season!!

We will begin playing All-Stars this next weekend in Bozeman. It should be an interesting weekend as it is a wood bat tournament. We bought a wood bat today so the boys can practice this week. Maybe they will adapt easily!

Weekend Camping Trip

Jackson says, "Camping is HARD work!"

Parish, Grant, and I camped at the Hellgate Campground on Canyon Ferry Lake this weekend. I don't know how Grant managed to get in the water. It was so cold, I couldn't stand to put my feet in it!

Vigilante Parade

The first Vigilante Parade, which is a historical parade, was held in May, 1924. The kids must do research and write a report about the subject of their float in addition to building a float for the parade. Both Capital and Helena High participate. Students are out of school on Thursday to build floats and prepare for the parade on Friday. All 16 Helena District Schools are released from school on Friday to watch the parade. This year the parade lasted two hours. Lauren and Liz marched with the band, then ran to the back to get on their floats. Lauren's float depicted the opening of the Capital City Bowling Alley in 1984. Liz's float depicted the Stampede Rodeo and Fair.

Liz's First Tennis Match

On a cold April day, Liz took the court for the first time this year. Although she didn't win, it was a lot of fun. She cannot wait to play again! Hopefully, the next match will be on a warmer day.
