SNOW????

Yes, we have a slight chance of snow tonight with a low of 35 degrees. I don't really expect to see any snow, but you never know around here. Everyone loves to talk about how it has snowed on the Fourth of July before. Liz has been worried that her first day of school shirt with its 3/4 length sleeve would be too warm tomorrow. Looks like she may need a jacket, too!

First Day of 5th Grade

Wow! I cannot believe school is starting again! Summer goes by so quickly. This is the first year that I did not take Grant to school on the first day. He's way too old for that, of course. This morning he was out of bed and ready for school in a flash. He then hopped on his bicycle, and off he went! I'm glad he was so excited about going back to school. I hope he's this excited tomorrow--haha!

Bubbles

I love the "bubble thing." We've used it several times after Bible Study and the kids love it, too. Grant made some pretty nice bubbles yesterday.

Deer

I guess I won't ever get tired of seeing the deer at the front door or in my driveway or peering in the screen door, etc. It's still amazing to me how unafraid of people they are. These are some of my favorites.

Look out world...

Lauren has a driver's license! She is so excited. She was a little nervous about the parallel parking part of the driving test, but she did it! I'll be a nervous wreck every time she drives off. She drove to work for the first time this morning. Yes, down the interstate, 75 miles per hour. Our lives will never be the same...

Got mud?

Never trust a quiet boy!! I was so glad that Grant was playing outside (and not fighting with Liz). He had been out there for hours when Parish came home and asked what Grant was doing with a shovel. Building a moat for his fort, perhaps? I finally decided to go see what was going on because it was getting a little dark outside. THIS is what I found. When I asked him why in the world he was rubbing mud all over himself, he replied, "It feels good!!!!" I know it's hot, but a mud bath???? Oh, well, spas all over the world make money giving mud baths and mud facials. I guess it's good to know that in Montana they are free!!
